VOLUNTEERS FOR FLOTILLA COMMITTEES NEEDED

Flotilla 13-12 is looking for a few capable people to staff the following Flotilla committees:

1. Good & Welfare

2. Fellowship

3. 2009 Audit

4. 2009 Flotilla Change of Watch (COW)

VESSEL EXAMINERS NEEDED

Flotilla 13-12 looking for a few capable people to become Vessel Examiner qualified (VE). Here’s all you have to do:

INITIAL QUALIFICATION:

1. Pass an open book on-line exam with a score of 90% or better.

2. Perform 5 Vessel Safety Checks (VSC) on recreational vessels under the supervision of a certified VE.

3. These exams & hours must be entered into AUXDATA.

4. FC notifies DQO that you have completed all the requirements and requests the certification for VE.

5. You must be in a “BQ” status prior to certification.

This is a permanent qualification. As long as you maintain it by doing at least 5 VSC’s and/or facility inspections annually.

INSTRUCTORS NEEDED

Flotilla 13-12 looking for a few capable people to become instructor qualified (IT). Here’s all you have to do:

INITIAL QUALIFICATION:

1. Pass an open book on-line exam with a score of 90% or better.

2. Teach a minimum of two classes under the supervision of a certified IT.

3. These hours must be entered into AUXDATA.

4. FC notifies DQO that you have completed all the requirements and requests the certification for IT.

5. You must be in a “BQ” status prior to certification.

This is a permanent qualification. As long as you maintain it by teaching at least 2 hours as a lead IT or 4 hours as an aide annually.
